The world famous Moscow Sretensky Monastery Choir is considered one of the best vocal ensembles in the Russian Orthodox singing tradition. Specially for the Moscow Christmas Festival the choir has prepared a new program the core of which is G. Sviridov’s “Chants and Prayers”, a true masterpiece of Russian choral music, and the Russian Christmas kolyadki (carols).
